The problem
Cues by hand, on every machine.
Running a show from OBS means switching scenes by hand, on time, often on several machines at once. One missed cue and the screens no longer match.
How it works
A playlist in OBS, followed by every machine.
obs.conductor adds a playlist dock to OBS: scenes in order, a duration for each one or the length of its video, and the transition you want. One machine is the master: the others find it on the network, copy its media and scenes, then follow it live. Needs OBS Studio 28 or newer.
Playlist in OBS
Scenes in order, a duration and a transition for each.
Master and slaves
Slaves find the master on the network: only its password to type.
Sync
Media, OBS settings and scenes copied from the master, through the app.
Fallback
Master lost? A fallback scene, or the playlist goes on.
Works offline
No internet needed. It reconnects by itself when OBS restarts.
Tally, in development
ON AIR and PVW from a PixelHue Q8 only, read‑only.
The tally is still in development and currently works with the PixelHue Q8 only. obs.conductor only reads the switcher: it never sends it a command.
The competition
Where it stands.

Advanced Scene Switcher can automate almost anything with macros, and vMix has its own playlist. obs.conductor is a ready‑made playlist for OBS, with machines that follow each other out of the box.
